Hey there mama, just wanted to tell you it's ok to take a break. It's good to go do something on your own, with friends, or get a babysitter and go on a date with your spouse. Getting to have some time away from the constant motion of chores, and assisting with all the things, helps me embrace my routine when I return. Now, that we have moved to Utah, my favorite way to get a break from mom duties is hiking. I like being outside, taking in all the nature, capturing photos, and walking. My husband and I often switch off on the weekends, and one of us will go explore while the other holds down the fort with the little ones. Or I meet up with a friend for dinner and catch up, or I go see a movie in the theater. Now, with the current situation, it may be easier to pick up take out, and go have a picnic with a friend, or rent a movie over at a friend's house. In any case, find something that you enjoy. Just taking some time to focus on something else- nature, a friend, a story- feels good. So, if you are feeling a little restless or need a change, I recommend it.
