New Smoothie Recipe

This is an updated version of my favorite protein smoothie. Feel free to adjust to your preference. This smoothie is sweet and tastes like a frozen banana smoothie and it is delicious. My three year old loves this smoothie to give you an idea of how yummy it is.

Banana Chocolate Protein Smoothie

1 frozen banana

1/2 cup Milkadamia macadamia milk

1 scoop Natural Force chocolate whey protein

1/3 scoop Green Vibrance Probiotics

1 tablespoon chia seeds

1 tablespoon MCT coconut oil

2 handfuls of fresh spinach

Chop up a ripe banana the night before and freeze in a reusable plastic container. You can prep a lot of bananas at one time to have frozen bananas ready for smoothies all week. Note: do not use unripe bananas. Unripe bananas are not as sweet and give the smoothie an undesirable taste and slimy. So, all those bananas that are ripe or almost too ripe are great for this smoothie. It has been a great way for me to use bananas we once tossed, because they were to ripe to eat.

Add all ingredients into a blender cup in the order they are listed to ensure all blend well. Blend until smooth. The desired consistency is a frozen milk shake. Add more or less macadamia milk to reach desired consistency.

The Green Vibrance probiotic his has a strong flavor, so the more you use, the more it changes the taste. Spinach doesn't change the flavor, but it does turn the shake green.

For a richer tasting smoothie add a tablespoon of peanut or almond butter. This smoothie eats like a milkshake and fills my craving for something sweet while also being satisfying and full of nutritious goodness. Enjoy! What are your favorite smoothie combinations?
