Favorite Toys: Fire Fighter Costume

This fire fighter costume by Melissa & Doug has been a hit. Our three year old is at the age when he loves to pretend and act out scenarios like putting out fires, cooking in a kitchen, driving an ambulance, and so on. This costume comes with the fire chief jacket, hat, fire extinguisher, and loud speaker. The loud speaker or bull horn makes a siren noise that is not too loud. Otherwise, it's all up to my kiddo to pretend. He runs around outside and inside by himself or with his dad "putting out fires."

He also keeps coming back to it. One thing I look for in toys I recommend is if it has longevity. In other words, does my kid actually play with it on a regular basis, or does the new wear off, and it becomes another object in the pile of things. So far, he loves dressing up as a fire chief and playing. He even pushes around our small Radio Flyer wagon and pretends it's his fire truck.
