I purchased these AirPods in August, 2019, and they are the best headphones I have owned. They are easy to use. To pair with a new device, you simply lift the lid of the case with the AirPods inside, and press and hold the button on the back of the case. Then, your device will ask, do you wish to pair the AirPods with your device, and you select yes. That's it. They charge quickly, so, if your battery runs low, you can pop them in their case for a few minutes and they should be ready to go. The case itself can recharge the batteries without being plugged in, so, if you're out and about and need to recharge them you can. They hold a charge for hours, I have not experienced needing to recharge while using them yet. I do faithfully put them back in their charger whenever I am not using them, so, they stay secure and are ready to be used when needed.
They are comfortable. A lot of headphones hurt after a long period of wear. I have not experienced any discomfort wearing these, since they rest inside the outer ear, and so, there is nothing pressing on my ears. They are secure when I wear them. In other words, I can be working out, and have my head upside down, or moving a lot, and they do not shift or move. They are of course wireless and allow a lot more freedom and range of motion. Whenever I wore wired headphones while cycling, I would often accidentally knock the wire, causing the headphones to be ripped from my ear. They use bluetooth, so, they pair with my phone and I am able to listen to podcasts, audio books, and music while I walk, workout, cook dinner, or doing any other activities. And of course this means I can use them when making phone calls, this makes talking on the phone hands free, and I find it more comfortable and easier to hear than holding my phone up to my ear. I also can pair them with our iPad and watch a show. These are just a well designed product, that is very easy to use and works really well. I'm glad I spent the extra money, and got headphones I can use for years, and enjoy them.
I have an update for this post. My husband just figured out we can download the Roku app to our phones and connect it to our tv. This allows us to connect our headphones to the television. Which is wonderful, now I can watch my shows on the tv instead of the iPad when the kids are sleeping. I'll post a picture of what the Roku app looks like for the phone. Enjoy!
