This gift guide covers gifts for men, women, and kids. I have been reviewing all the things I've bought on Amazon for as long as I have used Amazon, and have a comprehensive list I would recommend and buy again. So, if you are on the hunt for some gift ideas, I've got you covered. For the Men So, I find gift guides for men strange. They usually have joke or gag gifts, barbecue items, cuff links, and ties. None of these kinds of gifts work for my husband. I want to share
Taking photos has become easier and more convenient than ever before with the high resolution cameras available on cell phones. With this convenience, we also have a lot more photos than ever, and it can become overwhelming to sort through them all. I'd like to share my process of how to organize and print the photos I love. First, I look through the photos on my phone, and any I want to print, I give a heart which sorts these photos into a "favorites" folder on my phone.
Room on the Broom is a keeper. This is one of our favorite books. It's got rhythm and rhyme, beautiful illustrations, and a great story. We love reading this to our boys at bedtime. This book has also been made into a short film on Netflix that is just as lovely, and captures the story beautifully while showing our kids one of their favorite books in motion. If you need a new bedtime story, we recommend this one. #roomonthebroom #room #on #the #broom #book #books #read #

I'm sharing what I got for our Easter baskets. So, I am reusing the Easter baskets I got from Target last year, and I don't see them online this year, but they definitely have a lot of baskets if you need some. This year, I got each kid a t-shirt with a character that they are really into at the moment. I ordered my five year old a Mario Kart t-shirt, and a Toy Story t-shirt for my two year old. I got a boy's XS shirt for my 5 year old, and a 5T for my two year old. The
All Through My Town is written by Jean Reidy and illustrated by Leo Timmers. This fun book is full of beautifully detailed drawings and a fun rhyming rhythm. After we read through the story, we like to go back and look at details on each page, like the neat rows of bread, the scene in the cafe, or the water from a hydrant filling up a car. Each time we read, we find something new to talk about. This is a board book, so, it holds up against rough handling by small people.
Book time! Here is another one of our favorite books. Who Is Driving is written and illustrated by one of our favorite artists, Leo Timmers. We got this book for our eighteen month old son, but my four year old loves it too. Each vehicle has a number of possible drivers, and older kids will quickly memorize who drives what, but what we love about Leo Timmers is his attention to detail. Parents and kids can look at which clothes each driver is wearing, and guess who is be
My First Colors is another great board book from DK. This book has vibrant photographs of objects and animals to represent each color. Its sturdy, thick pages hold up to toddler handling, and its smaller size and thicker pages make it easier for a little one to hold and turn pages on their own. So, if you are looking for a book to help introduce colors, I recommend this one. What are your favorite books that introduce color? #color #colors #firstcolors #myfirstcolors #dk
Very First Words in Spanish by Usborne is a great visual way to begin teaching my little one his first Spanish words. This book breaks up common words into categories and has illustrations paired with each word written in both Spanish and English. This is a board book, so, it's a kid friendly size and can stand up to toddler handling. If you're looking for a great book to introduce new Spanish words to your little one, this is a good one. What bilingual books do you love?
Need some ideas for gifts for your little ones? Looking for some ideas for your niece or nephew? Need some ideas for grandchildren? I got you covered. These are the toys and books my little ones have loved and have remained our favorites over the years. This little dump truck is perfect for a one year old. There are buttons to push that light up, make sounds, and play music. There are balls to drop into the hole and push into the dump truck's bed. This encourages hand
Do you have a friend, a spouse or a parent that loves to read? These are my top picks for the book lover in your life. The Gibson Vaughn Series by Matthew Fitzsimmons is a thrilling mystery with interesting characters with military expertise and strategy. Now a four book series, get the book worm the first book in the series, The Short Drop, to get them hooked or gift all four, so, they can binge read over the holidays. Books in the series in order: The Short Drop, Poison
This catchy book of opposites uses rhythm, rhyme, repetition, and illustration to teach toddlers new words and their meaning. Now a board book, Dr. Seuss's The Foot Book, is small enough for toddler hands and easy for them to handle and turn the thick, durable pages. This classic has stood the test of time and remains one of our favorites. What are your favorite books from childhood? #drseuss #dr #seuss #thefootbook #the #foot #book #boardbook #board #toddler #kid #chiildr
"Oh, the wonderful sounds Mr. Brown can do! He can sound like a cow. He can go moo moo," Yep! That's right, I've got this book and many others memorized, which makes sense, because the books with great rhythm and rhyme are the ones my kiddo has the easiest time remembering as well. Dr. Seuss's books are now board books too, so, they stand up to toddler handling and are a smaller size that a toddler can manage on their own. This book is a good length that Goldilocks would
Another one of our favorite books, Whose Truck?, by Toni Buzzeo and Jim Datz. This is a guessing game with pages that unfold, first we see a worker's truck, and then it folds open to reveal who uses the truck and how. Our kiddo loves to identify each truck and the different equipment found on each work vehicle. This is another fun book to add to your little one's shelf. #whosetruck #board #book #boardbook #childrensbook #books #kidbook #favorite #favoritebook #read #readin
Need something new to read? Leigh Bardugo delivers with Six of Crows and Crooked Kingdom. This is another one of our favorite books for kids, My First: ABC by DK. Like other DK books, this one uses photographs of real objects to help kiddos learn to identify what they find around them. Some of the words are big for little ones, but as we found out, our kiddo catches on even when we think he may not be. We have read this book to him since before he started talking, and now he flips through it on his own and identifies all the pictures he sees. If he comes acros
Sarah J. Maas does not disappoint with her final installment of the Throne of Glass series. Kingdom of Ash is fast paced and riveting. Maas utilizes the complex and vast territory of Erilea to her advantage in describing the complexities of war and battles fought. There are no shortcuts and the reader feels the harshness of the surroundings and the grueling time it takes to move an army from one side of the continent to the other in the hope of arriving before it is too lat
Weather is book all about describing the outdoors and what kinds of clothes to wear. We love this book, because it starts a conversation with our kiddo about how it feels and looks outside. We live in Texas, so, Eli usually says, "it's hot and sunny!" or "it's raining!" We don't usually experience too many changes in the seasons, except the unexpected snow we had last year. This is another book that is good at introducing words and ideas that our kiddos will be learning m
Whose Tools? by Toni Buzzeo and Jim Datz is another favorite book. It's full of fun illustrated pages that unfold showing the tools being used. Whose Tools? is a board book, I don't have to worry about the pages getting damaged by little hands. It's fun guessing the tools and the job they are used for before unfolding the page. It's also fun to find the tools on the job site used by carpenters, plumbers, masons, painters, electricians, and roofers. Our kiddo surprises us
My First Words by DK is another one of our favorite board books. We love this one, because it uses real life photographs to help kids recognize and learn about the world around them. A lot of books for children are cartoons, and do not represent what objects, animals, and people look like in real life. DK does a beautiful job using photograph,s and creating books that are interesting to look at and helpful when teaching my kiddos. Some of the words are for older readers,
